Mental Health
These writings all pertain to mental health, usually my own. I have a tendency to be quite open on the internet about my issues with depression, anxiety, complex PTSD, ADHD, and just general wacky ways my brain tends to work. Many of these first posts will be older ones that I wrote during different mental health struggles and times of healing. Some I have updated and attempted to denote the changes. Others I have left just as the original writing even though it may not pertain to my life any longer. Using writing as a form of therapy has been extremely helpful over the years. I discovered actual pure joy in receiving some letters over the years when some folks took the time to write to me to let them know that my words made a difference in their lives.
The writing stopped for the most part back in 2013 as my marriage started to fail. I couldn’t continue to write as openly as I had been without sharing parts of stories that were not mine to tell at the time. My children are older now and I have received their blessings and trust to repost my old work and even perhaps find new words to put down on a page. Perhaps something you read here will be helpful to your mental health healing journey, even if it only the fact that you aren’t alone.
