This tutorial is completely from my imagination. Your results can be used for personal or commercial use as long as something is created with it. You may not use it for monetary value as just a background. You may only give a text link to this tutorial when sharing it. You may not claim it as your own or include it in any collection.

Tools I Used:

  • Paint Shop Pro X2

1.  Open a new 400 x 400 image with your resolution set between 72 – 100 (I usually do 100), raster and transparent checked.

2.  Select your flood fill tool and then choose a foreground color. I stayed with pastels and chose #d4f3b1.

3.  Go to Effects/ Illumination Effects/ Sunburst and use these settings…  Color: White, Light Brightness: 2, Light H/V: 20, Ray Density: 90, Ray Brightness: 70, and Circle Brightness at 30.

 4. Go to Effects/ Reflection Effects / Feedback and use these settings…  Opacity: 10, Intensity: 100, H/V: 100 and Elliptical at unchecked.

5.   Go to Effects/ Reflection Effects/ Pattern and use these settings… Offset H/V: 0, Rotation: 90, Scale: 0, Columns & Rows: 20 and H/V Shift at 0.

8.  Go to Layers/ Merge / Merge All Flatten.

9.  Export to .jpg at compression 10 or so and you are done!

I would really love to see your results. I haven’t written many tutorials yet, so I really need the feedback on how to make it better. All constructive criticism is welcome!
